Challenge another company in your area to face off in your own Devils Kitchen. Choose your team of eight employees, half for the kitchen, half for front of house. Invite forty guests from your clients, partners and associates; guests who you will feed and serve throughout the night.
Nominate a charity from your local community who will receive the funds you raise.
Guided throughout the day by host venue experts, those in the kitchen will prepare from scratch forty starters, forty mains and forty desserts. Also guided by venue experts, front of house teams will dress to impress and prepare the dining hall fit for a king, ready to serve forty hungry guests and quench their thirst with a full drinks service.
Every element of the night is judged by your guests. Live CCTV feed from the kitchen is projected into the dining hall to aid them in their scoring. At the end of the night, an average is counted from each of the opposing team’s guests and a winner is declared.
Not a single penny yet asked from the guests, at the end of the evening each diner is invited to make a single anonymous donation to go towards the charities supported in thanks for your evening. Thus after a challenging day of team building and an entertaining evening of corporate hospitality, the real beneficiaries are charities in the local community.
Devils Kitchen is a concept developed and trademarked by the charity The Smile Foundation, which collaboratively works with and in support of smaller charities in local communities.
From proactive engagement with the business community, Smile now has established relationships with countless fantastic venues across the country. Our partner venues donate their kitchens and dining halls at no cost for every Devils Kitchen, so that more money can go to where it’s needed.
Venues include eminent group hotels as well as independent restaurants encompassing cuisines from around the world.
